Basic and follow-up 2022 greening, bio, pending transfers

There are many outstanding issues and reports indicate that everyone involved has been mobilized to fill some of the holes in both this year’s one-time aid and the rest of last year’s check and programs. . The time is short and the cases rather difficult, but the game is not yet “lost”.

Among the things that the farmers are waiting for are the remains of the base and the greening for the plots that were in the monitoring, the control of which is not yet finished and which concerns more the Region of Thessaly. This means that some producers in this category have not been paid the special cotton aid, while others still have basic and greening arrears for the plots that were under control. Concerning the special aid, it is recalled that a total of three credits were granted, none of which included the plots concerned by the monitoring. However, according to OPEKEPE data, for the special cotton aid for the year 2022, 42,609 producers applied, 40,946 received aid amounting to 178.8 million euros, while 1,663 producers were not paid, of which 320 did not deliver any cotton. and they cannot receive support and 1,343 producers have conclusions of administrative control, remote monitoring, follow-up or have submitted administrative actions and their evaluation is not complete. The payment of these producers, as long as there are no problems with the eligibility criteria of the areas declared under cotton cultivation, will be made at the end of the control process.

There are also quite a few farmers with inheritance or rental transmissions, whose files have not yet gone to the Regional Banks and the corresponding control has not been done. Of course, it should be noted that this has been dragging on since last December and the payment authorities were also aware of this, given that in OPEKEPE’s announcement regarding the payment of the single payment it is stated that “transfers of basic support rights for the year of application 2022, with minor exceptions for which additional verification or the presentation of supporting documents is required”.

In the stocks and some producers linked to legume hay and livestock, but also animal aid for meat and milk, while the beneficiaries of the linked for seed production have not yet received money, for the payment of which the officials of OPEKEPE undertake to do so within the month.
