Eliamos Villas Hotel & Spa
Eliamos Villas Hotel & Spa is set to open on May 1, a five-star retreat comprised of 12 villas, which promises to provide its guests with an unforgettable hospitality experience in Kefalonia. Terraces to enjoy the sunset, salt water pools, hot tubs and outdoor dining are just some of the features of the new retreat. Here, you will taste flavors inspired by Greek tradition, with dishes made from the products of local farmers. Also be sure to visit the open-air gym with sea views, as well as the spa, which offers massages, reflexology, and aromatherapy. There are many activities you can do here – such as hiking, biking, boat trips and stargazing in Mount Ainos National Park.
Noruz Kassandra Domes
This month sees the opening of this luxury hotel in Halkidiki – the first Domes Resorts property in the region. It is located on the Kassandra peninsula and has 182 rooms. The swimming pool takes center stage, with guests enjoying their swims, overlooking the majestic natural surroundings. The contemporary space is decorated with natural tones and artwork from local artists, blending modern and traditional aesthetics. Don’t miss the Gustatio restaurant, where delicious seafood and wine labels from local vineyards are served, but also the SOMA Spa, with treatments aimed at the ultimate well-being.
Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino
Mandarin Oriental is opening its first luxury hotel in Greece this summer at Costa Navarino in Messenia. The impressive complex offers a unique view of the idyllic landscape and the sea, while it includes 99 suites and villas, the design of which blends harmoniously into the traditional architectural style of the region. It has five restaurants and bars, which will serve you flavors inspired by local cuisine. Of course, you will also find an excellent spa here, which will combine the wellness treatments of the East – for which the hotel chain is known – with the local culture. The lucky ones will be able to enjoy their swims in the 25-meter swimming pool, but also many sports activities, such as water skiing and SUP.
Ikos Odyssey
The second Ikos complex in Corfu opens in May in a secluded bay opposite Ikos Dassia. Located high above the Ionian Sea, it has 390 rooms, suites and bungalows. Here, nature and the sea dominate, as does culinary creativity: its six restaurants will serve you the flavors of starred chefs. Don’t miss Anne Semonin Paris’ signature treatments that can be enjoyed at the spa, as well as the various activities in the indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and areas dedicated to children.
Isla Brown Chania
This May will see the opening of the second property in Brown Hotels’ new Isla Brown luxury resort collection. Isla Brown Chania is located 30 minutes from Chania and only 15 minutes from Chania International Airport, overlooking the Mediterranean. The contemporary space is inspired by the beauty of nature and features 148 rooms and suites, three restaurants, an open-air bar and lounge, three swimming pools, a spa and wellness center. The rooms are decorated with natural materials in warm, earthy tones, which are combined with wooden lamps, green velvet and marble furniture, and golden details. The highlight is the pool, with a bar and sea views.
One&Only Aesthesis
The first Greek resort of the One&Only collection will open at the end of this summer in Glyfada, 30 minutes from the center of Athens, on the so-called Athens Riviera. Designed with inspiration from 60s and 70s Greek glamour, it features a private beach and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. The coastal chic aesthetic dominates the rooms, beachfront bungalows, and villas — which even have pools. The culinary flavors offered by this particular resort are inspired by the Athens Riviera and the dishes will all be made from fine local produce. Of course, the must-visit spa is also there, with excellent wellness treatments, while Club One stands out, for activities in nature, such as biking and water sports.
One&Only Kea Island
The second One&Only property to open in Greece, also at the end of the summer, will be in Kea. In fact, if you want to visit both, there is a private boat and helicopter service. Its design is inspired by traditional Greek architecture and the wild natural environment, while it includes 75 villas, private residences, but also an all-day dining space, which will offer food all day, with an emphasis on organic and seasonal ingredients. Plus, a traditional Greek taverna, laid-back beach club, lobby lounge, sea-view pool bar, and speakeasy bar round out the vacation experience perfectly.
