The financial committee of the municipality of Chania, according to its information zarpanews.gr led to a re-announcement of the call for tenders for the granting of the right of simple use of the seaside, beach for the exercise of activities which serve bathers or the recreation of the public to third parties (umbrellas, deckchairs , marine leisure vehicles) to be considered until 31-12-2025 (from the signing of the lease contract until 31-12-2025) after relevant corrections by the real estate agency which further increases the already high prices.

The auction will take place on June 16, 2023, Friday at 09:00 a.m. for umbrellas – deck chairs and at 10:30 a.m. for marine leisure equipment in front of the competent committee of the Municipality of Chania at the Municipal Store of Chania, 29 Kydonias Str La Chania (press room).
The right to participate is a) all legal or natural persons or their associations or consortia. For associations, it is required that their constitution has been completed.
Participants must submit to the committee a letter of deposit from the Caisse d’Epargne et de Crédit or a letter of guarantee from a recognized bank or from financial institutions or insurance companies within the meaning of cases b’ & c’ of the par.1 of article 14 of Law 4364/2016 (A’13), which operate legally in the Member States of the Union or of the European Economic Area or in the Member States of the AMP and have, in accordance to the applicable provisions, this right.
They can also be issued by the ETAA. – TA.MEDE in favor of the Municipality of Chania for the participation in the auction for the rental of the simple use of the waterfront and the beach, which must be recognized for the guarantees, in an amount equal to one tenth (1/10) of the minimum limit of the offer defined in this advertisement, calculated on the total time
lease and have a valid guarantor, who will sign the auction report with the participant-bidder.
In addition, participants submit a dossier of supporting documents, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant detailed declaration of the Municipality of Chania No. 29268/23-05-2023.
