During his first television appearance after the political leaders’ debate, Dimitris Koutsoumbas spoke about the suffocating context of telecombat, pointing out that the KKE had made a proposal to the cross-party committee to change “the style of suffocating time and parallel monologues”.
After all, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas, gave an interview to the program “Society Hour MEGA” in which he spoke about all the political issues ahead of the elections, the telephone tapping as well as the invitation of Tsipras for a government of progressive forces.
In his first televised appearance after the political leaders’ debate, Dimitris Koutsoubas spoke about the suffocating context of the telecombat, pointing out that the KKE had made a proposal to the cross-party committee to change “the style of suffocating time and parallel monologues”, as he says it so well.
“The limits decided by the interparty committee are suffocating, the stress of a few seconds on the clock, when it is necessary to develop the positions of the party, everyone must give arguments. It is supposed to be done to inform and judge the people who will vote. In these suffocating contexts, it is not possible to do it”, he commented.
“Invitations for a Government Sleeve by Tsipras”
During the debate, the CG of the KKE, referring to Alexis Tsipras, said that the president of SYRIZA “scratches a lot at the pie throughout the pre-election period, talking about progressive governance when addressing the KKE “.
Dimitris Koutsoubas referred to this sensational statement, stressing that SYRIZA is calling for a “sleeve” and “allegedly progressive” government.
“Tsipras scratches the shepherd’s pie. He constantly addresses the KKE, talking about a muff, supposedly progressive government. We don’t just say that for the 4.5 years he ruled, but we let’s also say for the course of 4 years as official opposition. In fact, he voted in favor of more than half of the bills, anti-people bills, in our opinion and that of the workers”, a- he commented.
“You support or tolerate a government if you have a common direction in program statements. You don’t tolerate a government for two or three small issues,” he added.
“We do not support or tolerate any anti-people government”
Dimitris Koutsoubas made it clear that the KKE would not support any anti-people government and show no tolerance towards them, while calling on its citizens to support the KKE’s struggle for a new society and a new path of development for the country.
“Since the conditions do not exist, we have made it clear that we do not support or tolerate any anti-people government, whatever its label, whatever it may be, under this system. When the people decides to strengthen the KKE not only electorally, but to support it, to stand by its side so that we can move towards another economy, another society, another way of development, which is the opposite of what what other people believe. In other words, we have to get out of the system that humanity has known for five centuries, the capitalist system,” he said.
After the spades for a “so-called progressive government”, Dimitris Koutsoubas said that SYRIZA and Alexis Tsipras have mutated.
“SYRIZA has gone from a party that was at the beginning, from a small party to becoming a party of government. It has completely mutated. Alexis Tsipras sees himself as an urban social democratic party and we now treat SYRIZA as an urban party, and not as an adventurous leftist, as he once said.”
“It is impossible that Mitsotakis did not know about the wiretaps”
The positions of political leaders on the question of surveillance have made an impression.
During the political leaders’ debate, the issue of telephone tapping was raised. Asked whether Nikos Androulakis was being watched by the EYP because he was dangerous for the Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis replied that the president of PASOK is not a danger to the national security of the country and that he should not be under surveillance, Nikos Androulakis in front declare that his objective is “that some go to prison, that those who created the para-state take their own responsibilities”.
For his part, Dimitris Koutsoubas stressed to MEGA that there are political responsibilities behind the phone tapping.
“It’s inconceivable that the Prime Minister didn’t know. It’s impossible that he wasn’t informed, other than how he handled it or didn’t want to handle it that way or didn’t didn’t pay so much attention to it. I’m not exculpating it now, but everyone thinks what they want. The main thing is that he couldn’t not know,” he commented.
